New Zealand Wool
Forestry Wool was born on one of New Zealand’s remote beaches, Te Arai (Forestry beach) outside of Auckland. Surrounded by thick green forest and farmland. Inspired by the restorative power of nature and the ability of sheep to regrow their wool every year, we create ethically created wool blankets, woven with natures finest raw material.
Process
Our wool is sourced from New Zealand (we are a brand partner of Campaign for Wool). Our blankets are woven by skilful craftsman in a family owned Mill in Lithuania, with the highest possible working standards, and who carry certifications that guarantee our wool is pure and harmless to both animals and humans.
Sustainability
We are committed to our ethos of sustainability and are focused on ways we can improve how we do things at each step. Our Wool is traceable back to its farm in New Zealand, where sustainable farming is a way of life and animals are protected and cared for with the well-being of future generations in mind.

We are certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), Control Union CB-CUC-1184420. The Responsible Wool Standard describes and independently certifies animal welfare and land management practices in wool production and tracks the certified material from farm to final product.
Forestry Wool is a Wool Integrity NZ™ brand partner which guarantees our wool is mulesing-free – has been ethically grown and has followed a path of genuine integrity. Wool Integrity™ is designed to provide full transparency within the supply chain. The Wool Integrity™ program provides assurances around important consumer expectations such as animal welfare and environmental sustainability, traceability, wool quality, health safety & wellbeing, and social compliance.
Our wool products are Woolmark-certified. Woolmark is a wool industry certification mark used on pure wool products that meet quality standards set by The Woolmark Company. This certification program enables you to identify the wool garment or wool care product that is of the highest quality.
Our OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified products have been independently tested for harmful substances according to extensive scientific criteria that go beyond global regulations.
